A shooting at a motorcycle rally held on Memorial Day weekend left at least three dead and five wounded in the town of Red River, located northeast of Albuquerque, New Mexico, state law enforcement officials confirmed.

So far no arrests have been made and investigations are underway, although early indications reveal that the shooting was between members of different motorcycle gangs. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to information from the New Mexico State Police (NMSP), two deaths and six injuries were initially reported. The latest update revealed that the death toll rose to three and the number of people injured decreased to five.
One of the people injured had to be transported by helicopter to a hospital in Denver (Colorado). The rest were admitted to Holy Cross Hospital in Taos (New Mexico) and the University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) in Albuquerque (New Mexico).
