NBA Playoffs: Lakers advance to West finals, Heat to East finals

Los Angeles dethroned the defending champion Warriors and will go head-to-head with the Nuggets in the next round of the finals.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets will play in the Western Conference Finals.

The purple-and-gold franchise prevailed in the series against Golden State Warriors (4-2) after winning in Game 6 by 122-101. LeBron James (30 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists) and Anthony David, with a double-double (17 points and 20 rebounds), led the Angelina victory. For his part, Austin Reaves recorded 23 points in his best game in the NBA Playoffs. The Warriors failed to repeat the title won in the last edition of the NBA.

Against all odds, the Miami Heat advance to the Eastern Conference Finals after defeating the New York Knicks in the series (4-2). In Game 6, the Florida franchise won (96-92) with Jimmy Butler still in star mode (24 points and 8 rebounds). Bam Adebayo surpassed his mark in the zone and registered 23 points and 9 rebounds. The Heat await an opponent in the East final, who will emerge from the final matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics.
