Democrat Patrick Wojahn who served as mayor of College Park, Maryland, and who was arrested on 56 charges related to child pornography, including possession and distribution of such material, visited the White House multiple times since June 2021.
White House visitor logs reflect that the former mayor visited the presidential residence three times since June 25, 2021 for various events: a "Commemorating LGBTQ+ Pride Month" event, a "Pride Month Reception" that included a "Signing of an Executive Order on Advancing LGBTQI+ Individuals" and a ceremony celebrating the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.
However, according to Fox News, there were three other instances in which Patrick Wojahn was in attendance at the presidential residence between December 2022 and January 2023, but which will not yet be posted on the White House website until March 30 and April 30.

Relations with senior officials
The former mayor networked with top Biden Cabinet officials, including Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, who, in fact, Wojahn considered to be his political mentor, or so he said during an interview for the LGBT news site Washington Blade.

However, a DOT spokesman asserted that the secretary actually "did not know" Wojahn well, although he acknowledged that they met several times "through participation in U.S. Conference of Mayors programming, conferences and political events."
Wojahn's arrest
According to information released by Prince George's County police, the 47-year-old former mayor was arrested Thursday morning, just hours after he resigned from office. According to authorities, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified police of a suspicious social media account with images and videos related to child sexual abuse.
After much investigation, the police department discovered that the account was Wojahn's, so it was decided to authorize a search warrant at his home and "multiple cell phones, a storage device, a tablet and a computer" were found, police said.

Jessica Garth, a representative of the State Attorney's Office reported that Wojahn is in custody at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections where he will soon meet with a commissioner who will determine whether he will remain in custody or be released before trial.
