The Hispanic community does not want Biden to run in 2024

According to a Quinnipiac University poll, 64% of Hispanics would not like to see the president run for re-election.

The percentage of the Hispanic community that does not want Joe Biden to run for a second term continues to rise. According to a Quinnipiac University (Connecticut) poll, three in five (64%) Hispanics do not want the president to run in the 2024 election, up 8% from a month ago. Only 27% say they would like Biden to be the Democratic Party's nominee.

Overall, the Democratic Party captures more Hispanic votes than the Republican Party, but this poll is a new sign of how Hispanics are shifting opinions. In the midterms, the GOP performed better in districts or counties that were more than 25% Hispanic. A clear example was Miami-Dade County, Fla., where seven out of ten people are of Hispanic descent.

According to this survey, the Hispanic community's opinion of the Biden Administration is overwhelmingly negative. Forty-eight percent disapprove of the administration to just 31% who support it. As for the president's job performance, 43% of Hispanics view it unfavorably, and 38% rated it as positive. Thirty-seven percent of Hispanics hold an unfavorable opinion of Vice President Kamala Harris, compared to just 26% who view her positively.

Inflation, the biggest concern of Hispanics is at a 40-year high. Overall, the country's poor economic performance show why 59% of the Hispanic community disapprove of the Biden Administration.

The president has also failed on border policy. More than half of Hispanics (52%) disapprove of his work on border security and protection, while just 33% approve.
