French government angry at Mbappé for mocking 'climate crisis'

"We all have to take climate change seriously," said the Minister of Economy and Finance.

France's Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, criticized Kylian Mbappé for laughing when asked about his soccer team’s trips, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), regarding a possible contribution that these trips make to the carbon footprint, one of the flags of the climate catastrophists.

In an interview with BFMTV, Le Maire explained his criticism of the French player by making a fiery defense of the fight against the 'climate crisis':

I think we all need to take climate change seriously.

During a press appearance before a Champions League match, Mbappé and PSG coach Christophe Galtier laughed off a SNCF railway manager’s suggestion to change their mode of transport for shorter trips. This suggestion came up after the team traveled by plane for a trip less than 400 kilometers away.

Galtier’s mockery‘s added to the two’s laughter when he said that they had spoken to the company that organizes the team's travel to change the means of transport:

We are seeing if we can go by sailing vehicle.
