Bruce Springsteen postpones his concert tour due to medical problems

The singer said he was following his doctor's orders and would return to his shows starting in November.

Bruce Springsteen announced Wednesday that he was postponing all concerts he had scheduled in September to recover from a peptic ulcer. The singer posted a statement on social media explaining that he is simply complying with his doctor's orders and that he would return with the tour he is doing with The E Street Band in November:

Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all, Bruce

The Boss canceled the concerts he had planned in the cities of Baltimore; Philadelphia; Albany, N.Y., and Syracuse, N.Y. as well as the scheduled performances in Connecticut and Ohio. Springsteen assured that those affected will receive information about a new date for the shows that have had to be postponed.
