Embolo scores Switzerland's first win over Cameroon

The Swiss national team scored its first victory in the World Cup with a narrow win over the Africans.

Switzerland beat Cameroon 1-0 in the first match of Group G of the World Cup in Qatar. A game that did not have a clear dominator and was very disputed between the two teams.

The difference in the match was scored by Breel Embolo with just seconds left in the first half. Xherdan Shaquiri set him up and the Switzerland striker - a Cameroonian by birth - put the ball into the net after a good team move, but he did not celebrate the goal.

With this first victory, Switzerland is at the top of the group, pending the result of the match between Brazil and Serbia, which will be played in a few hours.
