An event Roanoke, in North Texas, caused concern among several pro-family organizations for having an "all-ages" Drag Queens show with more than 20 children in the audience and armed Antifa members guarding the facility.

Anderson Distillery and Grill was in charge of organizing the show called "Barrel Babes Drag Brunch" which featured scantily clad Drag Queens dancing and performing routines typical of their shows. Journalists attending the event described it as "vulgarity, sexualization of minors and partial nudity." They also estimated that there were more than 20 children in the audience excited about the presentation.
Another Child Drag Show was hosted in Texas, this time in @CityofRoanokeTX-
Over 20 children were in attendance and multiple teachers.

Protests by organizations and politicians
Several pro-family organizations, such as Protect Texas Kids and the Texas Family Project, asked citizens to petition organizers to raise the age limit of the event due to concerns about the innocence of children. Following the establishment's refusal, the organizations staged a protest in front of the venue, where they found armed members of Antifa guarding the show.
The president of the Texas Family Project, Chris Hopper attended the show in protest, and called on Texans to protect children from sexualization and indoctrination:
For Anderson Distillery and Grill, Sunday afternoon consisted of children peering up the skirts of scantily clad mature, perverted men, and children putting cash in the lycra of said individuals.... The Texas Family Project was on the front line. We saw firsthand the chaos that ensued. This sexualized and grotesque event encouraged children of all ages to come forward and participate in... Remember, the only thing necessary for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing.
After seeing what happened, Texas State Representative, Bryan Slaton, promised to work with the Texas Family Project and put legislation in place to ban "family-friendly" drag shows, i.e., those that include children. And he states that events like these "are no place for children."
A drag show is no place for a child. I'm working to ban these entirely next session.
