Damar Hamlin reappears in video: "With God's guidance, I will continue to do wonderful and great things"

The Buffalo Bills safety said his cardiac arrest was "a direct example of God using me as a vessel to share my passion and my love."

Damar Hamlin continues to recover from his recent health problems. Almost a month ago, the Buffalo Bills safety gave the sports world a scare when he suffered a cardiac arrest in the middle of a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Since the incident, everyone has been watching and waiting for updates on the players recovery, and he has returned to give his thanks for every show of affection towards him. First, with a written message, then several photos, and now with a video. Published on his team's YouTube account, the NFL player took the opportunity to to thank all those who had shown their support, as well as to the medical staff who have been treating him for the past few weeks, and in the process put an end to some of the theories claiming that he had died during the medical emergency:

Now that my brothers have closed out a strong winning season as I continued to make so much progress recovering, I think it's finally a good time to share a few things. I think it was important for me to wait and speak publicly at the right time, as it was just a lot to process within my own self. Mentally, physically, even spiritually, it's just been a lot to process. But I can't tell you how appreciative I am of all the love, all the support and everything that's just been coming in my way.

Damar Hamlin's benefic foundation raises $9 million for charity

Damar Hamlin went on to explain what it was like for him to suffer this cardiac arrest. As he explained in the video, it was "a direct example of God using me as a vessel to share my passion and my love directly from my heart with the entire world, and I'm able to give it back to kids and communities all across the world who need it the most."

And he did. His charity, Hamlin's Chasing M Foundation raised more than $9 million that will be used to purchase toys and fund back-to-school drives, as well as funding several children's camps, the fundraising page states. "This is just the beginning of the impact that I wanted to have on the world and with God's guidance, I will continue to do wonderful and great things," he pronounced.
