"Concerned" Hollywood celebrities force delay in publication of Britney Spears' revealing book

"There’s a fair amount of throwing people under the bus, talking about past relationships, some of whom will be revealed for the first time ever," a source said.

Publisher Simon & Schuster suspended the release of Britney Spears' memoir for fear of facing legal problems with some celebrities who might appear in the revealing book.

The book by the famous pop singer was due out in February. However, the publication has been delayed after Hollywood celebrities sent "strongly worded" legal letters to the publishing group.

According to The Sun's report, some people fear what Britney Spears may have written in her book. A source said the singer was "brutally honest" in telling her story.

"There's a fair amount of throwing people under the bus, talking about past relationships, some of whom will be revealed for the first time ever," a source recounted, highlighting that Spears had relationships and affairs that she managed to keep under the radar.

The book, which landed a $15 million contract, was put on hold while Simon & Schuster's legal team tries to get it through without facing litigation.

"There is no movement at the moment, and there are concerns over when it will eventually be able to come out," the source said.

It has not yet been revealed which celebrities are nervous about the "Baby One More Time" singer's book. Still, rumor has it that the revealing biography includes details about her family dynamics, aspects of her guardianship and even details of her current marriage to Sam Asghari.

"Britney wants this to be her moment she talks to the world, to tell her side of the story and set the record straight. She has wanted to go all out with this book and tell her truth, and that's what has people worried," the source commented.
