Chris Rock: "Everybody's trying to be a f... victim"

The comedian has made allusive jokes about Will Smith's apology and compared him to a man in prison for murder.

Everything seems to indicate that Chris Rock is not ready for the public apology offered by Will Smith last Friday, for the slap he gave him at the most recent Oscar Awards. Smith punched him in the face after a joke Rock made about Jada Pinkett's alopecia.

Chris Rock said about it, "Everybody is trying to be a fucking victim. If everyone claims to be a victim then no one will listen to the real victims". With these words, comedian Chris Rock is reportedly alluding to the controversial incident, which caused Smith to resign as a member of the academy.

Comparison with a murderer

Rock used the stage of his own monologue in Atlanta to make an allusion to the slap, although he did mention the name of the 'Fresh Prince'. Rock has said, "Even when Suge Smith slapped me I went to work the next day, I have kids." Chris Rock compared Smith to former Death Row record label executive Marion Suge Knight, who is currently serving a 28-year sentence for murdering a man.

Smith posted the video of his apology on social media and explained that he tried to communicate with Rock. But he indicated that he is not ready to talk and will communicate when he is.

"So I'll tell you Chris, I apologize. My behavior was unacceptable and I'm here when you're ready to talk," Smith said. He also apologized to Rock's mother, family and brother, Tony Rock. Tony made the 2007 comedy 'All of Us', which featured Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett in the creation.
