California: Planned Parenthood abortionists want to open 'family planning' center in a high school

"Minors have the right to consent to reproductive health services without parental consent," say the promoters.

The California School Board is considering opening a Planned Parenthood family planning center on the campus of John Glenn High School. The school is part of the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, which has an 80% Hispanic population. As Voz Media has known, the vote to open the center, scheduled for Monday has finally been postponed, with the district's Board of Education declining to elaborate on the reasons.

According to Fox News, the center would dispense reproductive health-related drugs, including contraceptives, and would insert non-surgical long-acting reversible contraceptives, including IUDs, into young women.

Planned Parenthood is an organization specializing in abortions, puberty blockers and hormonal therapies to reassign biological sex. However, its staff will be able to refer students to other Planned Parenthood centers off campus for "services not offered in the proposal".

Parental consent

"Under California law, minors have the right to consent to reproductive health services without parental consent or notification," the proposal shows. "Families and taxpayers should be appalled that [the Norwalk-La Mirada School District] is considering a partnership with Planned Parenthood," Parents Defending Education President Nicole Neily has told Fox News. Neily considers it "appalling" that the proposal emphasizes that minors do not need parental consent in matters of such gravity.

"Some Planned Parenthood clinics do provide gender affirming hormone therapy, so there is a very real possibility that students will be referred off-campus for this treatment with zero parental notification," Neily warns.
