The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, reported this Friday that he will visit Baja California in November. The president will visit seven cities. He highlighted that he regularly visits the border.
The president of Mexico responded to a question in his daily press conference and said, “Yes, I'm going to be in Baja California and I'm constantly touring the country and the north. I'm going to be in Baja California for three days. We are going to be there on November 10, 11 and 12. We are going to visit the seven cities of Baja California."

The president's decision comes in light of the crisis at the border between Mexico and the United States due to the uncontrolled arrival of immigrants who are trying to cross into the U.S.
“Yesterday I met with Governor Marina del Pilar (of Baja California), and we are also going to accompany her to her report, which will be on Sunday, November 12 in Tijuana and we are constantly visiting the border and the entire country and we are addressing the immigration problem,” López Obrador said.
Those who pass through Mexico, we in Chiapas have opportunities for them to work, they are offered work, even on the northern border they are offered work, but they do not want to stay, they want to get to the United States.
"The United States should approve a support plan for countries with problems," says AMLO
In addition, the socialist president criticized the United States' foreign and immigration policies. He pointed out that, in his opinion, the U.S. administration should stop "sanctioning" countries and focus on welcoming undocumented immigrants:
United States legislators should be thinking about two things, instead of being focused on politics, first they should figure out how to approve a support plan for countries that, due to economic, social and political problems, are suffering from an immigration crisis. Places where the population is forced to migrate.
