After meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky, Graham expects Ukraine to regain its territory

The Republican senator said it was clear to him after his trip that the Russians "have been bloodied and weakened."

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham spoke about his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and claimed he had “never been more optimistic” about Ukraine’s ability to regain its territory.

Through several Twitter posts, the South Carolina senator acknowledged the “incredible” job the Ukrainian leader and his defense officials have done in the war against Russia.

President Zelensky and his team have done an incredible job fighting for not only Ukraine’s freedom but for the idea of freedom itself,” he opined.

The senator also stressed that after the trip, he was convinced that the Russians “have been bloodied and weakened.

“While there are no magic weapons, the right weapons in the hands of determined Ukrainian people creates magic on the battlefield. Victory for Ukraine,” he shared, adding that he believes Ukraine should be provided with more ammunition and long-range artillery.

Russia warned the West about aid to Ukraine

Recently President Joe Biden agreed to send F-16-type fighter jets to Ukraine, a decision that was not to Russia’s liking.

After it was announced that the United States would grant one of the Ukrainian president’s earliest requests, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko warned about the “enormous risks” this could bring to the West.

“We can see that Western countries continue to stick to an escalation scenario, which carries enormous risks for them. In any case, we will take it into account when making plans. We have all the necessary means to achieve our goals,” he said.
