1-1: Spain and Germany tie in a thrilling game

A very exciting duel between two teams that already know what it means to be world champions. The Germans are still alive even though qualification is difficult for them.

Germany and Spain played a thrilling game that ended in a tie, allowing the German team to stay in the tournament, although they remain the worst team in their group.

The game between world champions was played at the Al Bayit stadium in Qatar. Germany was playing for everything after a surprise loss to Japan, while Spain was looking to secure first place in Group E, which also includes Japan and Costa Rica.

The first half ended in a 0-0 tie, although both teams could have opened the scoring, since they had plenty of chances. In fact, Germany's Antonio Rüdiger scored a goal, but it wasn't counted by the VAR.

The 0-0 tie was finally broken by Spanish forward Álvaro Morata, in the 62nd minute, shortly after being put in for Ferrán Torres. The Atlético de Madrid player took advantage of Jordi Alba's great pass to put his team in the lead.

The Germans, now facing the fear of elimination, pushed forward towards the Spanish penalty area and were rewarded in the 83rd minute when Niklas Füllkrug blasted the ball into Unai Simón's goal. It was a tremendous shot. The Spanish goalkeeper couldn't do anything about it.

Spain leads Group E with 4 points. They are followed by Japan and Costa Rica with 3, and Germany with 1.
